The Institute strives to instill in students the ability to design incorporating the most ecologically sound materials into their creations. From reclaimed scraps from construction sites used in fine furniture making, to use of more local and sustainable materials such as coconut husk in paper making, we are not only saving potential refuse from the dump but also ensuring students are making the wisest choices for the environment.

As our focus is to use artistically what is otherwise societal waste, it is a logical step to instruct each student in the implications of his or her actions on the area's ecology. Our students will become advocates for the preservation of precious natural enviroments, and Way Too Cool's video production team will produce Public Service Announcements for local media outlets to inform citizens about topics such as the negative impact of deforestation, the destructive nature of littering, and the negative impact of the illegal exotic pet trades.
